Dr. Spanjaart is a Postdoctoral Fellow of the Centre for Maritime Law at the National University of Singapore. He started as an attorney at law with Kernkamp Advocaten in Rotterdam.
He has been an attorney at law in Rotterdam ever since, always with firms with a focus on international trade, transport and insurance. He is a partner with Kneppelhout & Korthals Advocaten. Besides his work as an attorney at law, he lectures at Erasmus University School of Law in Rotterdam. His research interest is in the area of maritime law.
