What motivated you to apply for the MEL programme and the FUNED scholarship?
The MEL programme is unique, it is a unique Masters programme combining logistics and economics while focusing on the maritime aspect of it. FUNED has a long history of supporting Mexican talent, which is what motivated me to apply for a scholarship with them.
How has receiving the scholarship shaped your experience or opportunities at MEL?
receiving the scholarship allowed me to fully focus on what is important: taking advantage of the MEL programme as much as possible. Engaging with my fellow students and professors, and enjoying the programme.
What has been the most rewarding aspect of your MEL experience?
The connections made during the MEL programme made me grow both personally and professionally, I met some of my current best friends but also met future colleagues and bosses.
How do you believe MEL is preparing you for your future career in maritime economics and logistics?
MEL prepared me for my future career in maritime economics and logistics by giving me a strong base from where to depart. By having connections with many students, alumni and professors, the maritime world as well as the theoretical aspect of the programme. Both areas are what makes the programme unique.
How much would you recommend MEL to others, and what specific benefits would you highlight?
I would strongly recommend MEL to anyone who wants to have a stronger maritime career, or anyone who wants to expand their horizons while learning new skills every day. Through the programme you can get a strong theoretical maritime background, and with the visits and relationships made through the programme, you can start or improve a successful career in the maritime business.
