Mr. Bottema has been involved in the Container Terminal Industry for over 20 years. He is currently managing the commercial activities for Hutchison Ports ECT Rotterdam part of HPH Group in Hong Kong. Mr. Bottema is Global Account Manager for Hapag Lloyd within the HPH Group. Mr. Bottema had also supervisory board responsibility at Delta Reefer Care (DRC) for over 12 years, a subsidiary of the HPH Group and the largest reefer care supplier in Rotterdam. Ulco is involved in terminal logistics and hinterland transport systems for the Hutchison Ports Europe Intermodal (HPEI).
Prior to joining HPH, Mr. Bottema has experience in a wide range of industries. He was Marketing Manager at Texas Instruments, where he has been involved in many different roles. These have included strategy, product management and marketing of applications for the automotive industry worldwide. Mr. Bottema started his career in 1986 with Unilever as Sales Engineer
He holds Bachelor degrees in Marketing Management and Food Technology.
